Our farm has been described as charming, quaint, and full of character. We are not your typical "ranch" with sprawling acres of grass pastures. We thoroughly enjoy our wooded setting and the privacy and shade it affords. Our small paddocks are easy to maintain and offer us several different options for turnout of our motley crew! The smaller size of our facility allows us to pay attention to every detail. Unlike very large facilities that require numerous employess for maintenance, we are family run and maintained and pay personal attention to every detail and every HORSE at the farm. We pride ourselves in the "neat and tidy" state that you will always find our facilities. We thoroughly believe that neatness in horsekeeping carries over to neatness in horsemanship. In addition to cleaning stalls and paddocks, you may find us tidying up flower beds around the barns or decorating our barn yard for the season. We want everyone to leave Easter Creek having had a pleasant, safe experience, with no distractions.
This is where you will probably find us when the barn chores are through! Pool designed and built by Dave Vosbury Of Custom Pools.
Our facilitites
At Easter Creek, our facilities are designed thoughtfully within a park-like setting. . They consist of our full-size barn, our miniature and pony barn, tack and feed building, and beginner's arena-all opening on to a central "stable yard " area. This area is paved with pea gravel to discourage mud and dust. The stable yard concept is seen frequently in Europe. It lends itself to a safer, more contained environment to perform daily horse activities such as farrier work, grooming, and tacking up. In addition to our beginner's arena which is in closest proximity to the barns, we offer a full size fully shaded arena with new Jump 4 Joy and jumps, which is just a short, pleasant ride down a bridle path that crosses Easter Creek. Our covered arena, built by Ayers Metal Fabrication, was completed in November 2002. It is closest to our boarder paddocks and large barn.
Show barn with 10 stalls. Other amenities include a concrete aisleway, seasonal lighting schedule, industrial fans, and a fly spray system to be installed by summer 2003.
Pony barn with 4 stalls and hay storage for over 100 bales of hay, in addition to wheelbarrows and other neccessities.
Tack and feed building that measures 14'x40' with a garage door for easy feed deliveries, a picture window to view the beginner's arena , hitching rails, and barns, "parking" for our pleasure and show carts, and a kitchenette area with refrigerator, microwave, telephone, coffee pot and restroom facilitites. Our tack room has hosted several 4-H meetings and is the ideal place for the introductory video-viewing portion of several of our Community Ed classes.
